- The MetaGrove system is structured for an enterprise with one metadata specialist that uses
MetaGrove Developer to define and implement XMP schemas as MetaGrove dialogs,
and many creative content specialists that use MetaGrove Plug-ins directly in their Adobe Creative application(s)
- Custom metadata Schemas. Choose from industry standard schemas, create your own, or
create a combination.
- Controlled Vocabulary. Controlled vocabularies are typically contained inside the
Dialog (.mcr) file. Optionally, a vocabulary can be an external, tab delimited file, either local or remote.
- Help Tags and Tool Tips. Mouse-over accessible explanation fields increase the speed and
accuracy of metadata capture.
- Required Fields. Optional required fields ensure that all essential metadata is captured.
- Auto-Complete. Fields with commonly used values are automatically filled with just a few
keystrokes, increasing the consistency, speed and accuracy of metadata capture.
- Dynamic Data Support. Optionally query a web server to complete fields based upon the contents
other fields in the panel.
- Default Values. A optional default value can be specified for each field in the dialog.
- Data Validation.
Default, and optional additional, validation is evaluated as the user completes a field entry.
An alert message advises correction details. Invalid metadata is never saved.
